An editorial magazine exploring the intersection of social climate and fashion.

Social change involves the revision of behavior patterns and cultural values. Throughout history, it is evident how fashion responds to the zeitgeist. Fashion can be a tool used to respond to the ongoing social climate in today’s society; to provide examples of current fashion trends and staples used as a response to social change, and to inspire the current and future generations to use fashion as a tool to promote current social change.

The purpose of this publication is to emphasize how fashion can be a tool used to respond to the evolving social climate in today’s society. The goal is to develop more socially conscious conversations about fashion and to inspire society to use fashion as a tool to promote current social change.

This project was conceptualized during my time abroad. In London, I was inspired by the street art around the city as well as the fashion publications produced in London. This magazine visually experiments with white space and layering of text and imagery.
